Dr.
Vocci received his Ph.D. in Pathology and later his medical
degree from the University of Maryland in Baltimore.
He
served his internship at Union Memorial Hospital, where
he completed a three year residency in diseases and surgery
of the eye. He also completed a Fellowship in Ophthalmology
and Eye Pathology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
He
is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and
the American Medical Association.
Dr.
Vocci is a diplomate at the Board of Medical Examiners and
the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a Courtesy Clinical
Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of
Florida School of Medicine.
Dr.
Vocci specializes in state-of-the-art, comprehensive eye
care ... including diagnosis and management of cataracts,
glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy,
just to name a few.
Dr.
Vocci was trained by several nationally recognized glaucoma
experts and has developed a large practice of glaucoma patients.
His

Dr. Scott Wehrly is a Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and is fellowship trained in Cornea and External Disease. Dr. Wehrly has performed over 7,000 successful state-of-the-art cataract surgeries, over 12,000 refractive surgeries and thousands of additional ocular and laser procedures restoring sight to visually challenged patients. He is a leading corneal transplant surgeon, cataract surgeon, oculoplastics surgeon and glaucoma surgeon. Dr. Scott Wehrly has extensive experience in the advanced ReSTOR multifocal implant, the Toric implant that corrects astigmatism and lens implants that slow the advancement of macular degeneration. Dr. Wehrly is recognized for his excellent outcomes in clear cornea, no stitch, no needle, no patch cataract surgery. Dr. Scott Wehrly serves as a consultant for difficult corneal and cataract problems referred by ophthalmologists and physicians in central Florida. Dr. Wehrly received his cornea and external disease fellowship training from Duke University and has served as director of Laser Eye Surgery at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Dr. Wehrly joined Lake Eye Associates in 2001 after seven years of military service in the Air Force. He served as Chief of Ophthalmology at MacDill AFB in Tampa, and as Chief of Ophthalmology at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. Dr. Wehrly has volunteered on three different humanitarian missions to South America, restoring sight to hundreds of people who would otherwise live without eye care, often in blindness.
Shelby Terpstra, D.O. is an experienced board certified
comprehensive ophthalmologist who received her training from
Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she served as assistant clinical
professor and chief resident ophthalmologist.
Dr.
Terpstra is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology
and Academy of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. She is experienced
in a wide range of ophthalmic services, from general eye care
to cosmetic blepharoplasty.
Dr.
Terpstra has a proven track record of excellence in eye care
and has a progressive, compassionate approach to serving patients.
She is accepting new eye care patients and consultations.
Dr. Scot Holman received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee, graduating with highest honors. He completed his residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Dr. Holman is a comprehensive Ophthalmologist whose specialties include cataract, refractive and oculoplastic surgery, diseases of the cornea, glaucoma, diabetes and other retinal and macular disorders.
Dr. Holman has volunteered for multiple medical missions in Central America and taught English Studies in Honduras for one year.
